Description

  • Review revenue recognition and billing schedules in NetSuite ARM and Zone Advanced Billing.
  • Analyze customer contracts and amendments to determine ASC 606 revenue treatment.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Reconcile deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, accounts receivable, bad debt reserves, and other revenue-related accounts.
  • Calculate sales commission amortization and prepare related accounting entries.
  • Investigate billing, transaction, system, and customer account issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, audits, disclosures, and reporting.
  • Document and improve revenue accounting processes, including automation and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Develop reporting and analytics on revenue trends, operational performance, and business drivers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting.
  • 2+ years of ASC 606 revenue accounting experience in SaaS, software, healthcare technology, recurring revenue, or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, account analyses, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, contract modifications, and commission accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, data analysis, and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite ARM, Zone Advanced Billing, Salesforce/CPQ, ERP implementations, audits, or process automation preferred.
  • Candidates must be located in the Washington, DC, New York City, or Philadelphia metro areas; up to 10% travel required.
