Description

  • Contribute to engineering and technical work in defence AI and related complex systems.
  • Apply knowledge in areas such as autonomous systems, aerodynamics, mechatronics, AI, and software development.
  • Support work on technically demanding problems involving robustness, safety, and ethical considerations.
  • Work on advanced topics such as reinforcement learning, distributed systems, generative AI, and deployment infrastructure.
  • Help develop novel capabilities that contribute to Helsing’s mission and government-backed programmes.
  • Engage in an open, transparent, and debate-friendly team culture focused on outcomes and responsible autonomy.

Requirements

  • Current participation in the Formula Student Germany programme.
  • Background or experience in one or more of the following: autonomous systems, aerodynamics, mechatronics, or AI and software.
  • Interest in pursuing a working-student role or full-time role within the next two years.
  • Approaching or planning the transition from study to employment, or seeking part-time applied industry experience.
  • Willingness to work on high-impact engineering problems in a defence context.
  • Encouragement to apply even if you do not meet all listed qualifications.
  • Interest in contributing from a European team location.
