Description

  • Own the accounting operations function and provide leadership across accounting initiatives.
  • Lead the monthly and annual close processes, including reconciliations, analyses, consolidation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure financial records and reporting comply with company policies, GAAP, accrual basis accounting, and ASC 606.
  • Oversee payroll, billing, client invoicing, and collections.
  • Lead the annual financial audit and 401(k) audit with an independent CPA firm.
  • Coordinate annual tax return preparation and supporting workpapers with an independent CPA firm.
  • Ensure compliance with sales tax requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Implement, document, and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage, recruit, and train accounting staff.
  • Drive process improvements and accounting transformation, including use of AI to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare or support the annual budget, operating model analysis, and key financial decisions.
  • Review accounting and financial systems and implement changes as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least 2 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a small team of accounting professionals.
  • Experience leveraging AI to improve accounting processes.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship management and business partner/advisory skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • CPA required.
