Description

  • Conduct automated and manual Section 508 accessibility remediation for reports, analyses, studies, and digital assets.
  • Format and remediate PDFs, Word and PowerPoint files, and multimedia to meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA standards.
  • Test user interfaces with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
  • Develop and apply standardized document templates, layouts, formats, and styles that meet company and contract requirements.
  • Use advanced Microsoft Word features and document fields to maintain standardized templates.
  • Coordinate internal workflows, track project progress, and meet delivery timelines.
  • Manage multiple detailed projects and support extended hours when needed to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience with Section 508 compliance, digital accessibility, and document remediation.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA accessibility standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and SharePoint; PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat Pro.
  • Degree in English, technical writing, journalism, communications, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience, including an associate degree or certification, is accepted.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clearly conveying technical information.
  • Demonstrated formatting, collaboration, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of detailed material, prioritize multiple projects, and work under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn quickly, and adapt to changing needs.
