Description

  • Build and maintain shared data platform infrastructure, reusable templates, and developer tooling.
  • Support day-to-day operations of Databricks and Snowflake, including monitoring, access management, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Help implement and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure as code for data platform components.
  • Evaluate new tools and frameworks through research and proof-of-concepts.
  • Support optimization, governance, and cost monitoring for Databricks and Snowflake environments.
  • Partner with analytics and BI teams to resolve platform issues and keep data products accurate and accessible.
  • Support streaming infrastructure such as Kafka and related tooling.
  • Assist with implementing, testing, and improving pipeline framework components for batch and streaming workloads.
  • Monitor platform health, respond to alerts, and participate in incident response and post-mortems.
  • Write documentation, runbooks, and operational guides to support platform reliability.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming language used in data engineering, with Python preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data pipeline concepts such as batch processing, scheduling, and data modeling.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code concepts; Terraform experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD fundamentals such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Curiosity, a growth mindset, and the ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across technical teams.
  • Exposure to streaming concepts or tools such as Kafka or Kinesis is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tooling, including transformation, orchestration, and data catalogs, is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
  • Awareness of MLOps or LLM Ops concepts and the data infrastructure needs of ML teams is a plus.
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, or observability tooling is a plus.
