Description

  • Act as the technical reference point for the team and help remove blockers in day-to-day work.
  • Identify gaps, improve delivery quality, and manage expectations with other areas.
  • Own strategy and innovation initiatives for the security area in partnership with leadership.
  • Work on ambiguous problems with no predefined scope and make difficult prioritization decisions.
  • Help the team solve open-ended problems and contribute to solution discovery.
  • Provide technical suggestions, constructive criticism, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Independently define and deliver technical roadmaps for larger projects with cross-team dependencies.
  • Translate objectives into clear individual goals and help align interface teams with broader area and company goals.
  • Analyze technical and commercial proposals from IT partners.
  • Support the creation and tracking of the Information Security strategic roadmap and general security best practices.
  • Create collaborative environments by sharing learnings and helping deliver results.
  • Collect evidence, handle, and simulate information security incidents.

Requirements

  • Experience with Python.
  • Ability to understand attack techniques, run proof-of-concepts, and create detection filters.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking and protocols including netflow, sniffers, vPC, STP, HSRP, QoS, VoIP, and IPsec.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cryptography.
  • Ability to read and understand RFC documents published by the IETF.
  • Basic understanding of security best practices such as DISA STIGs, SRGs, and CISecurity.
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 27000, ITIL, FIPS 140-2, CWE, CVSS, CVE, MITRE ATT&CK, EDR, and MDR.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux servers, including forensics, clustering, and disaster recovery.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows servers, including Active Directory, IIS, DNS, SSL/TLS, WSUS, and service hardening.
  • Advanced knowledge of DNS services, including DNSSEC, AXFR/IXFR, SOA, and CAA.
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization and container solutions such as NSX, VDI, SDDC, KVM, hypervisors, and NFV.
  • Intermediate knowledge of threats such as reverse engineering, buffer overflow, shellcode, obfuscation, hijacking, DLL hooking, process hooking, and process injection.
  • Intermediate programming and development knowledge in ASM, C, C#, Golang, or Rust.
  • Intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Advanced knowledge of IDS/IPS, firewalls, web gateways, email gateways, WAF bypass, anti-malware, proxies, HIDS, and NIDS.
  • Advanced knowledge of fragmentation, spoofing, and proxying techniques.
  • Ability to collect and preserve evidence.
  • Ability to handle and simulate information security incidents.
  • Work schedule of 5x2 from 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., plus on-call duty.
