Description

  • Develop and maintain new product and platform features.
  • Own development work on systems critical to the company.
  • Monitor system performance and the impact of changes in production.
  • Document changes made to systems and codebases.
  • Build and maintain production systems with attention to performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with the team on code reviews and engineering best practices.
  • Question architecture and development process gaps and propose solutions.
  • Implement automated tests.
  • Inspect code and documentation to support quality and consistency.

Requirements

  • Experience developing software in Go.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Ability to question architecture and development process gaps and propose solutions.
  • Ability to perform code and documentation reviews.
  • Experience implementing automated tests.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team in code reviews and discuss good practices.
  • Experience working on production systems with non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Nice to have: alignment with a culture of autonomy, teamwork, transparency, and continuous improvement.
