Description

  • Manage all aspects of generation project interconnection and advance projects through the interconnection process.
  • Lead preparation and coordination of interconnection request submissions to ensure complete and accurate filings.
  • Manage external engineering consultants and monitor deliverables for timeliness and quality.
  • Provide engineering guidance and technical supervision to the development team on utility and ISO interconnection packages.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including PMO, Project Finance, Preconstruction, and EPC to mature projects and support handoff.
  • Review technical data from vendors and consultants, including inverters, batteries, transformers, and other equipment, to meet utility interconnection requirements.
  • Create, review, approve, and maintain technical project documentation such as drawing packages, energy models, bills of materials, and scopes of work.
  • Support project development and design across conceptual and detailed stages, including site visits, permitting coordination, and design deliverables.
  • Prepare conceptual designs for solar projects, including major component selection, equipment layouts, and single-line diagrams.
  • Perform energy generation and cost sensitivity modeling using PV Syst, PlantPredict, or similar tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Systems, or another related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience in the solar and/or BESS industry.
  • Relevant experience in interconnection, development, and/or design of power plants, especially solar or BESS projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or an equivalent drafting tool.
  • Experience with photovoltaic performance modeling tools, preferably PVSyst and/or PlantPredict.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time; previous project management experience from initial design through installation is preferred.
  • Experience supporting project permitting processes.
  • Ability to work fully remote with regular weekday hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Salary range of $180,000 to $200,000.
