Description

  • Collect information from clients to prepare annual retirement-plan reporting.
  • Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile plans involving rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
  • Complete 401(k) testing and reporting through administration software.
  • Contact clients by phone and email with reminders and progress updates.
  • Prepare government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
  • Educate clients on 401(k) administration and plan documents.
  • Explain complex topics clearly and train team members on retirement-plan concepts.

Requirements

  • 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience, such as benefits administration, money movement, insurance claims, tax preparation, loan or mortgage processing, compliance, or quality control.
  • Experience with document review and transaction processing as regular job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Retirement-plan operations experience, including 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions, rollovers, compliance testing, or year-end reporting preferred.
  • Daily reconciliation experience preferred.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(k) structures, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet; a designated workspace is preferred.
  • Must reside in one of the recruiting states: AZ, FL, GA, ID, KS, LA, MI, MN, NC, NE, TX, UT, VA, MO, or OK.
