Description

  • Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with clients to obtain the information needed for annual reporting.
  • Reconcile 401(k) plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
  • Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
  • Prepare required government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
  • Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
  • Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration and plan documents.
  • Explain complex retirement plan topics clearly and share knowledge with clients and teammates.
  • Complete training to progress toward the responsibilities of a Retirement Plan Administrator I.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are required.
  • Customer service, organization, and collaboration skills are required.
  • Adequate math and analytical skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous, self-directed environment is required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements, including a designated workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Must complete continuing education based on current certifications.
  • Ability to help create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging is required.
