Description

  • Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with clients to gather information needed for annual plan reporting.
  • Reconcile 401(k) plans using Excel and administration software.
  • Use administration software to perform 401(k) testing and reporting.
  • Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during the year-end reporting process.
  • Prepare required government filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
  • Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration and plan documents.
  • Help explain complex topics in simple terms and share knowledge with others.
  • Complete training to grow into a Retirement Plan Administrator I role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Skills in customer service, organization, and collaboration.
  • Adequate math and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous, self-directed environment.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements, including a designated workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Must complete continuing education based on current certifications.
