Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on policies, performance, corrective feedback, and growth.
  • Coach managers through feedback, documentation, performance management, and terminations.
  • Conduct People Team 1:1s and exit interviews for Levels 1 and 2; identify culture themes, flight risks, and training gaps for quarterly reporting.
  • Administer FMLA, ADA, state, STD, and parental leaves, accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure accurate payroll for HQ, field, and international teams by resolving partner issues through completion.
  • Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, COBRA, carrier coordination, renewals, and employee communications.
  • Own onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, pay, benefits notices, and access management.
  • Maintain accurate employee data for compensation, survey, and headcount decisions.
  • Support employees through the Q1 2027 payroll, benefits, and retirement platform transition.
  • Create AI-supported workflows for repeatable work while applying appropriate judgment on AI use.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience scaling HR support, ideally progressing from coordinator to HRBP or HR Generalist in a fast-growing consumer or DTC company.
  • Hands-on payroll administration experience.
  • Experience managing leaves, including FMLA, ADA, state leave, STD, and parental leave, as well as workers' compensation claims.
  • Experience administering benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, COBRA, and open enrollment.
  • Employee relations and manager coaching experience, including performance documentation and terminations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters and exits with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, E-Verify, multi-state leave requirements, and final pay laws.
  • Experience with payroll or HRIS migrations, acquisition integrations, or Paylocity is preferred.
  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented approach, particularly for employee pay matters.
  • Ability to take ownership, build trusted relationships, and use AI thoughtfully to improve workflows.
