Description

  • Build and improve security operations, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents.
  • Triage security alerts, investigate issues, and mitigate vulnerabilities in infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintain and improve internal automations for alert triage and related security workflows.
  • Work with other teams to address customer security concerns and questions.
  • Perform application security reviews, audits, code fixes, and ongoing security best-practice improvements.
  • Conduct proactive research into new attack vectors and perform threat modeling for current and future applications.
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Help maintain compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to secure projects and systems organization-wide.

Requirements

  • Practical experience reviewing SIEM alerts and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Practical experience securing SaaS applications as a security generalist across infrastructure security, application security, and/or compliance.
  • Experience with Go, including writing and maintaining internal tooling and performing code reviews.
  • Experience with the Elastic stack and GCP.
  • Experience using and automating a wide range of defensive security tools.
  • Experience working across engineering teams to secure projects across an organization.
  • High agency and strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience developing software as an engineer is preferred.
  • Experience working in a startup environment is preferred.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Terraform, Kubernetes, or securing AI products is preferred.
  • Ability to overlap with EST for at least 20 hours per week.
  • Willingness to work as an IC3-level individual contributor.
