Replay real computer tasks inside an Ubuntu environment and capture accurate screenshots for dataset labeling.
Produce PyAutoGUI-style step-by-step action annotations that describe GUI actions and screen states.
Follow clear, step-by-step instructions provided by the project team to complete guided tasks.
Navigate and explore operating systems (Ubuntu, and occasionally Windows or macOS) to complete assigned workflows.
Observe and record system behavior, actions taken, results, and any deviations using the project annotation tools.
Flag unexpected behavior or issues according to predefined guidelines and report inconsistencies.
Maintain consistency, quality, and accuracy across repetitive annotation tasks.
Work the required schedule of 6–8 hours per day with a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Requirements

Proficient with Ubuntu Desktop, including file management, navigation, system settings, and basic file paths.
Hands-on experience using Chrome, VLC, LibreOffice (Writer/Calc/Impress), GIMP, Thunderbird, and VS Code.
Ability to accurately match screenshots to the next-step actions and identify UI elements precisely.
Comfortable writing simple JSON and clear screen-state descriptions with logical, step-by-step reasoning.
Detail-oriented, patient, consistent, and able to follow structured guidelines for repetitive GUI workflows.
Familiarity with basic tasks on Windows or macOS to follow cross-OS guided instructions when required.
Available for a contractor assignment of approximately 4 weeks (no medical/paid leave provided).
Available to work 6–8 hours per day with at least 4 hours overlap with PST.
Complete a take-home assessment (setting up a VM and performing sample tasks) as part of the interview process.
