Description

  • Design and solve challenging Physics problems to probe the limitations of large language models.
  • Create clear, high-quality, step-by-step solutions with well-articulated reasoning.
  • Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem sets with evaluation goals.
  • Focus on areas where models struggle, such as abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
  • Help define new evaluation benchmarks based on Physics curricula spanning early undergraduate to PhD-level topics.
  • Work efficiently within the required daily schedule and overlap window with PST.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, Ph.D., or current Ph.D. enrollment in Physics, Applied Physics, or a similar field.
  • Strong background in Physics at the level expected in engineering entrance exams and graduate or PhD-level programs.
  • Proficiency in at least three tools from the listed set, such as QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx, WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, Elmer, pyarmadillo, or MeshLab.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to explain complex Physics concepts in simple, clear terms.
  • Availability to work 8 hours per day with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Willingness to take on a contractor assignment of 10+ weeks.
  • Must be located in one of the eligible countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, or Vietnam.
