Description

  • Design and curate upper-undergraduate and graduate-level Biology problems with clear, fully worked solutions.
  • Create challenging, realistic tasks that reveal failure modes in frontier AI systems.
  • Convert diagram-heavy or multi-part biology questions into self-contained, text-only problems with definitive answers.
  • Write rigorous explanations and verify scientific accuracy throughout each problem and solution.
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses, diagnose errors, and refine questions to meet difficulty targets.
  • Review Biology tasks created by others and improve clarity, correctness, and realism.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent standards across large task batches.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D., or current Ph.D./postdoctoral study, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong background in upper-undergraduate Biology or beyond.
  • Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: BWA, Bowtie2, GATK, HMMER, HHsuite, STAR, SPAdes, IQ-TREE, OpenMM, AlphaFold2, PyOpenMS, RELION, PhysiCell, COPASI, Comet, COBRApy, Hifiasm, ABySS, DeepVariant, Flye, OR-Tools, Bracken, Kraken2, MEGAHIT, antiSMASH, BEAST2, FastTree, DIA-NN, Percolator, AutoDock Vina, CP2K, Salmon, MethylDackel, Canu, and GROMACS.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day with a 4-hour overlap with PST.
  • Available for a 2-month contractor assignment, with possible extension.
  • Located in Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, or Vietnam.
