Description

  • Assess the quality of consolidated and standardized data in the Azure Data Lake and implement data quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data quality requirements and deliver corrective solutions.
  • Optimize end-to-end data flows and pipelines, including extraction, transformation, quality, and performance.
  • Work with the client’s data and IT teams to refine and improve data models.
  • Implement data governance capabilities such as cataloging, lineage, privacy, and security using Microsoft Purview.
  • Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and reliable data and analytics operations.
  • Collaborate with the project team and offshore project manager to coordinate delivery.
  • Attend daily stand-up calls, provide daily status updates, and participate in fortnightly governance calls with the client.
  • Follow SDLC processes and maintain required project documentation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and delivering Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, such as SQL Database or Data Warehouse.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and related cloud-native components.
  • Experience building and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines for large, complex datasets using on-premises and/or cloud platforms.
  • Solid experience in data modelling, data management, and data warehousing environments.
  • Proficiency in data profiling, data quality assessment, data cleansing, and data transformation techniques.
  • Practical experience implementing data governance capabilities, including data cataloging, lineage, privacy, and security, preferably with Microsoft Purview.
  • Hands-on experience developing BI solutions and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and ALM tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
