Description

  • Drive technical strategy and roadmap for Adaptive Telemetry, defining architectural vision and prioritizing work that unlocks major product or platform improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional projects including planning, design, execution, rollout and long-term operation.
  • Own architecture, reliability, performance and cost for critical systems, making pragmatic choices that balance scalability, availability, latency and maintainability.
  • Define SLOs/SLIs, run high-severity incident response, lead blameless post-mortems and implement systemic fixes and automation to prevent recurrence.
  • Improve observability, automation and operational readiness through telemetry, alerting, runbooks, capacity planning and toil-reduction initiatives.
  • Align stakeholders across Product, Design and other teams, negotiate tradeoffs and remove blockers to unblock delivery for large initiatives.
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent by coaching senior and mid-level engineers, leading design reviews and raising engineering standards.
  • Represent engineering internally and externally by communicating technical strategy to non-engineering stakeholders and participating in cross-team planning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering and operating large distributed systems that span multiple teams with clear technical leadership and impact.
  • Deep systems-design instincts and understanding of tradeoffs around latency, consistency, availability, scaling and cost.
  • Hands-on cloud and platform experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code) and associated operational practices.
  • Experience owning reliability and performance work end-to-end, including defining SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Excellent coding and design skills; experience with Go preferred (Python/C/C++/Rust or similar also translate well).
  • Comfortable with and ideally experienced in integrating AI-assisted development tools into engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with messaging/streaming systems (e.g., Kafka) and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana or equivalents).
  • Ability to influence without authority and align cross-functional stakeholders in a remote-first environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Candidates must be located in one of the supported countries for this posting: UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland or Sweden.

  • Base compensation range in Sweden: SEK 836,000 - SEK 1,045,000 (actual compensation varies by market, level and experience).
