Description

  • Build interactive learning features inside Grafana that make onboarding and learning experiences smooth and scalable.
  • Improve the end-to-end learner experience from initial onboarding through completion.
  • Create workflows and product features that enable non-engineers and other contributors to author and improve learning content safely.
  • Support private guides and learning experiences.
  • Build trustworthy progress and completion tracking that helps motivate learners and measure outcomes.
  • Instrument learning flows to identify what is working, what is failing, and where learners get stuck.
  • Treat observability as a product principle by improving metrics, logs, traces, and user-journey visibility.
  • Work in an AI-assisted development workflow to scope, iterate, verify, test, and ship quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and help support software in production as part of end-to-end ownership.
  • Write clear docs, design notes, PR descriptions, and occasional demos or technical explanations for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Spain for this fully remote role.
  • Strong in at least two of these areas: AI harness experience, serious software engineering fundamentals, and Grafana context.
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor in real development work, ideally daily or close to it.
  • Ability to describe an agentic workflow that includes scoping, iteration, validation, and testing while managing security and correctness risks.
  • Ability to ship production-grade changes and explain technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong focus on architecture, maintainability, correctness, and code quality.
  • Experience using Grafana in real environments such as dashboards, troubleshooting, on-call, or monitoring workflows.
  • Understanding of observability practices and how Grafana fits into them.
  • Meaningful open source contribution or maintainer experience is a plus.
  • Full-stack experience is a plus, though strong frontend-only or backend-only profiles are also welcome.
  • Experience with TypeScript and/or Go is a plus.
  • Kubernetes familiarity is a plus.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.
