Description

  • Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of presales Solutions Engineers.
  • Lead with a servant-based, player-coach approach while balancing field responsibilities and team needs.
  • Own the planning, actions, and outcomes for the West region based on leadership goals and guidance.
  • Partner with sales leadership on customer programs, marketing initiatives, and community or company events to drive adoption and expansion.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key regional accounts and act as a thought partner to customers.
  • Understand customer adoption strategies and develop programs and collateral to support successful rollouts.
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are reflected in product priorities and roadmap decisions.
  • Own and report on the quarterly cadence of the team as they support evaluations through demos, technical deep dives, trials, and POVs.
  • Develop enablement and sell-with/sell-through motions with regional, geo, and global channel partners, including RSIs and GSIs.

Requirements

  • Must be located on the West Coast of the United States.
  • 3-4 years of experience leading a team as a manager.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the high-tech industry in roles such as Developer, Architect, or Sales Engineer.
  • Proven track record of mentoring, developing people, and managing performance over time.
  • Experience with open-source selling or cloud-first/product-led go-to-market motions is a plus.
  • Direct experience implementing or executing a formal sales methodology, such as COM or MEDDPICC.
  • Direct experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products.
  • Proven ability to own a book of business and exceed quarterly targets for both individual and team initiatives.

  • OTE compensation range of $241,000 to $286,000 in the United States.
