Description

  • Own and advance systems that improve delivery efficiency across driver pay, routing, delivery windows, and retention.
  • Design and deploy AI agents that make real-time logistics decisions using LLM reasoning and structured optimization.
  • Build prediction models and pipelines for prep time, transit time, total delivery duration, and ETA accuracy.
  • Develop dynamic driver incentive and pay systems that balance earnings, speed, and unit economics.
  • Create experimentation frameworks to test pay structures, bonus triggers, incentive timing, and gamification approaches.
  • Design gamification and engagement systems including streaks, leaderboards, tiered rewards, and milestone bonuses.
  • Build retention systems such as churn prediction, targeted interventions, onboarding optimization, and loyalty programs.
  • Architect intelligent dispatching and order prioritization systems based on proximity, capacity, route efficiency, and completion time.
  • Develop APIs, data pipelines, and microservices that support high-volume delivery decisions.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Operations, and Product teams to translate business goals into production systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful work in optimization, logistics, marketplace dynamics, or applied ML systems.
  • Hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, or autonomous decision-making systems.
  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Experience owning services end-to-end, from database schema to deployment pipeline.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with data tools such as SQL, Spark, or dbt.
  • Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or streaming platforms such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis.
  • Background in operations research, combinatorial optimization, or vehicle routing problems is preferred.
  • Experience with multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, or simulation environments for logistics is preferred.
  • Experience designing gamification systems, loyalty programs, or behavioral nudge frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with delivery or gig-economy platforms and driver supply-demand dynamics is preferred.
  • Prior work with geospatial data, mapping APIs, or travel-time estimation models is preferred.

Benefits

  • Hybrid base salary range of $175,000-$195,000, or remote base salary range of $155,000-$175,000.
