Description

  • Manage day-to-day construction operations, milestone tracking, and project completion for OSP fiber-to-the-home network builds.
  • Own pre-construction planning, construction execution and sequencing, and splicing/testing through project turnover.
  • Manage project budgets, scheduling, resource and activity planning, prioritization, and dependency tracking.
  • Track vendor performance, approve invoices, manage materials, and support financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain vendor contracts, terms, and construction schedules aligned to business commitments.
  • Communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders and ensure seamless handoff for network acceptance.
  • Maintain an open, transparent change management process across disciplines.
  • Ensure work is built to approved engineered design plans, GFiber standards, contracts, statements of work, and municipal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management within large, capital-intensive, technical scopes of work.
  • 3 years of vendor management experience directly managing vendor resources, performance, and accountability for project-based deliveries.
  • 3 years of experience scheduling projects, tracking capital spend and forecasts, and reporting status and costs versus commitments.
  • Experience providing insights and influence on commercial terms with contractors and vendors.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other project management certification preferred.
  • 7 years of project or program management experience preferred.
  • 5 years in a vendor management role preferred.
  • Experience managing telecommunications infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations, or outside plant (OSP) projects preferred.
  • Ability to influence and resolve disputes with internal and external stakeholders while balancing competing priorities to meet deadlines preferred.
