Description

  • Track, manage, and measure key business metrics to help the team achieve critical business targets and goals.
  • Communicate financial and technical information to leadership, including insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Oversee the operational direction of project controls teams, with ownership of scheduling and cost control functions.
  • Grow, mentor, and develop the project controls team.
  • Drive and influence controls requirements, including governance, standardized reporting, and contract specifications.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Construction stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Support long-term planning for systems and tools needed for cost and schedule management.
  • Advise local build teams on project decisions using data and analysis of the best build-type approach.
  • Help ensure construction projects are delivered in a controlled and systematic manner.
  • Influence regional leadership, including the General Manager, on how, when, and where work is executed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a similar field.
  • 10 years of experience in project controls managing costs and project schedules for engineering or construction projects spanning multiple teams within project management systems.
  • Experience using project controls systems such as Oracle P6, EcoSys, or another scheduling or cost management tool.
  • 2 years of people management experience, including performance management and people development.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting processes and terminology (preferred).
  • Experience using EcoSys and SAP (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate with executives and senior management teams (preferred).
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment, deal with ambiguity, and define the agenda (preferred).
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills (preferred).
