Description

Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build features and improvements.
Extend and maintain API and back-end systems.
Work directly with the PostgreSQL cluster.
Improve and expand the testing environment.
Solve technical challenges across architecture, security, anti-fraud, performance, scalability, personalization, optimization, and payments.
Contribute to code reviews and team processes as a supportive senior engineer.
Keep up with development trends in server-side technologies.
Mentor and sponsor other engineers in areas of expertise.
Coordinate and communicate across technical and product teams.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Use LLMs where appropriate to improve product and development workflows.

Requirements

4+ years of engineering experience.
Experience building, maintaining, or architecting one or more production web applications.
Knowledge of API design, database design, naming, and simplifying complex services.
Understanding of operational concerns such as deployment, migrations, configuration, and provisioning.
Professional experience with Ruby on Rails with Sorbet, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments (implied by the role).
