Description

  • Design, build, and launch tooling that supports SIL-4 code classification, review, and sign-off.
  • Develop web-based applications and reports that communicate safety posture to engineers and auditors.
  • Maintain and improve the Bazel build system to keep it fast, reliable, and easy to use.
  • Support developer workflows for build, lint, code coverage, and testing across C++, Python, and Go.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve the CI system using AWS and Buildkite.
  • Develop, deploy, and support automation tools for change submission, integration testing, and dependency management.
  • Design and implement monitoring services for internal processes and systems.
  • Participate in the team’s support and on-call rotation to keep shared developer infrastructure healthy.

Requirements

  • Experience building software in a regulated or safety-critical domain.
  • Working familiarity with a functional safety standard such as EN 50128 / EN 50716, IEC 61508, or ISO 26262.
  • Understanding of certification evidence requirements, including traceability, tool qualification, and auditable review/approval records.
  • Experience integrating static analysis or coding-standard enforcement tools such as MISRA, Parasoft, Coverity, or clang-tidy into CI.
  • Strong knowledge of build systems and development tools such as git, linting, GitHub, code review, testing frameworks, and deployment frameworks.
  • Direct Bazel experience is a significant plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices, with Buildkite experience as a bonus.
  • Familiarity with front-end web development such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or a modern framework.
  • Experience developing tools and services in Python or Go.
  • Experience with Linux in both development and operational environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of on-call support processes, incident management, and monitoring tooling.
