Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-value activities to demonstrate how GitLab meets customer needs.
  • Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV execution, workshop design, and support for tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to build and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through digital transformation.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to improve outcomes and ROI.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Maintain and expand technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies, and create reusable technical collateral.
  • Continuously learn, share knowledge, and contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Proficiency with the full software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations topics.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Experience contributing to tenders, audits, workshop design, or value stream assessments.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to keep developing professionally and learn new technologies.
  • Experience with transferable skills from related fields is welcome.

  • Base salary range of $90,300 to $193,500 USD.
