Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation activities, including proofs of value, to demonstrate GitLab’s fit for customer needs.
  • Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV delivery, workshop design, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for acquisition and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through GitLab adoption and digital transformation.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to improve business outcomes.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Maintain and deepen expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies while creating reusable technical collateral and best-practice guidance.
  • Support team learning and professional growth through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing solution design role.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations considerations.
  • Experience leading technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Experience contributing to tenders, audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
  • Clear technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted customer relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to keep learning new technologies and deepen platform expertise.
  • Experience working across Sales, Product, Engineering, or Marketing is preferred.
