Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and proofs of value to demonstrate how GitLab meets customer needs.
  • Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV management, workshop design, and support for tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Commercial Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and help them progress through digital transformation initiatives.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, cloud practices, and return-on-investment improvements.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Develop reusable examples, best practices, and technical collateral related to GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies.
  • Continue professional growth through learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing within the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical understanding of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations topics.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Ability to contribute to tenders or audits and design and run workshops or value stream assessments.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to keep learning new technologies and deepen GitLab platform expertise.
  • Experience applying transferable knowledge from related fields is welcomed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $90,300 to $193,500 USD for the listed U.S. level.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of base salary.
