Description

  • Collaborate with Ecosystem Sales Managers and partner sales leaders to create and execute Partner Activation Plans.
  • Own the technical aspects of partner activation, including demos, reference architectures, and workshops.
  • Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual for partner technical activation plans and manage technical risks and gaps.
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical and business stakeholders at partner organizations.
  • Advocate for partners internally by sharing field feedback with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partner Enablement.
  • Support technology evaluation and validation stages for partner-led opportunities.
  • Communicate solution value in industry-standard terms rather than GitLab-specific language.
  • Create reusable technical assets that can scale across the region.

Requirements

  • Must be based in India and authorized to work in India, with location eligibility for Bangalore, Mumbai, or Delhi.
  • Senior-level technical pre-sales, Solutions Architect, or sales engineering experience.
  • End-to-end software development lifecycle knowledge, including modern DevSecOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or a comparable source-control, CI/CD, or DevSecOps platform.
  • Experience working with or leading inside India-based GSIs in a partner-facing or delivery/practice role.
  • Channel, cloud, and partner-ecosystem fluency, including partner-sourced motions, deal registration, co-sell, and services-led go-to-market.
  • Ability to communicate credibly from practitioner to executive level and own a technical activation plan as the DRI.
  • Comfort incorporating AI into daily workflows as a productivity multiplier.
  • Existing network within one or more named GSIs is preferred.
  • Experience standing up partner delivery practices, enablement tracks, or certification programs is preferred.
  • Cloud-marketplace or hyperscaler co-sell familiarity with AWS or GCP is preferred.
  • Depth in GitLab, AI development, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, or application security such as SAST/DAST is preferred.
  • Coverage across APAC GSI delivery hubs is preferred.
