Description

  • Guide technical discovery, demos, and validation activities, including proofs of value, for customers across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Own the technical evaluation process as the Directly Responsible Individual, including solution design, POC/POV delivery, workshops, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies that support acquisition, expansion, and revenue growth.
  • Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to support digital transformation and long-term platform adoption.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to improve delivery outcomes and return on investment.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud technologies, and create reusable technical collateral and best-practice guidance.
  • Invest in ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to improve team effectiveness and the impact of the Solutions Architect function.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience guiding customers through solution design and evaluation processes.
  • Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or a comparable source control, CI/CD, and DevSecOps platform.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations considerations.
  • Experience managing technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Experience contributing to tenders, audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioner and senior stakeholder audiences.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, listen closely, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to keep developing professionally and learn new technologies; transferable experience from related fields is welcome.
