Description

  • Use a consultative approach to customer engagements and identify ways to help customers achieve their goals more effectively and efficiently.
  • Deliver work according to statements of work with guidance from technical architects.
  • Install and configure GitLab solutions in customer environments.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical training sessions.
  • Create documentation for implementations, guides, maintenance, and other customer needs.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of deliverables, artifacts, and training templates.
  • Develop and implement migration plans for customer VCS and data migrations.
  • Extend and maintain documentation and scripts for implementations and workflows aligned to custom requirements.
  • Communicate customer opportunities and progress to project and account teams.
  • Support engagement managers with quoting and scoping statements of work.
  • Document and implement improvements to Professional Services engagement processes.
  • Work with GitLab Product and Engineering teams to support customer success and surface process or feature improvements.

Requirements

  • Professional exposure with one or more infrastructure-as-code or configuration-as-code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Professional exposure with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English for success in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
  • Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple customer engagements at once.
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to regularly achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization.
  • Approximately 20% travel may be required.
