Description

Own white space and rack layout strategies for NVIDIA GPU racks, Google TPU pods, Cerebras systems, and comparable accelerator platforms.
Map rack requirements to GIGA BASE, including power distribution, containment, cable pathways, and structural interfaces.
Maintain Basis of Design documents and rack layout templates for AI/ML platforms.
Coordinate with customers, colocation partners, internal engineering teams, and technology partners on deployment requirements.
Lead project coordination meetings and align scope, timelines, and critical design updates.
Identify product gaps related to power density, liquid cooling, busways, PDUs, and interconnects, and provide roadmap input.
Travel to data centers for design validation, commissioning, engineering analysis, and operational support.
Develop white space standards, procedures, commissioning protocols, digital models, and capacity-planning tools.
Provide incident and live-event engineering support and document findings for operations and field teams.
Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in data center white space design, infrastructure design, or site engineering.
Expertise in rack layouts, hot/cold containment, power distribution planning, and structured cabling.
Strong understanding of thermal management, power density optimization, and scalability.
Proficiency with data center design tools, CAD software, and infrastructure modeling.
Strong project coordination, leadership, written communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight in a high-velocity environment.
Willingness to travel regularly to data center sites.
Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or AI-focused data centers preferred.
Experience with high-density GPU or AI accelerator environments, BIM/Revit, commissioning, ASHRAE guidelines, or network architecture preferred.
