Description

Lead team-level technical strategy and execution across multi-quarter initiatives.
Build, optimize, and maintain software systems using AI tools.
Raise the technical bar by mentoring and upleveling engineers across the organization.
Collaborate across disciplines to understand the healthcare domain and iterate on projects.
Protect user privacy and security through best practices.
Contribute to systems that analyze billions of medical records and rank healthcare providers.
Help introduce and adopt new technologies as the platform scales rapidly.

Requirements

6+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience leading engineering teams with demonstrated impact on technical strategy.
Generalist software engineering mindset with willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques in a fast-paced startup environment.
Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents, including Claude Code.
Ability to learn quickly and mentor others.
Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance.
Comfort working in a high-performing, mission-driven team with intense urgency, strong individual accountability, and authentic feedback.
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, DBT, Python, TypeScript, React, or Go.
Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to HQ in New York City.

Benefits

Target salary range of $231,000 to $260,000.
