Description

  • Lead team-level technical strategy and execution across multi-quarter initiatives.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain software systems using AI tools.
  • Raise the technical bar by mentoring and upleveling engineers across the organization.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to understand the healthcare domain and iterate on projects.
  • Protect user privacy and security through best practices.
  • Contribute to systems that analyze billions of medical records and rank healthcare providers.
  • Help introduce and adopt new technologies as the platform scales rapidly.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience leading engineering teams with demonstrated impact on technical strategy.
  • Generalist software engineering mindset with willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents, including Claude Code.
  • Ability to learn quickly and mentor others.
  • Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Comfort working in a high-performing, mission-driven team with intense urgency, strong individual accountability, and authentic feedback.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, DBT, Python, TypeScript, React, or Go.
  • Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to HQ in New York City.

  • Target salary range of $231,000 to $260,000.
