Description

  • Build across the full stack, including React/Next.js frontends, Go and Python services, AI/LLM pipelines, and infrastructure.
  • Own product surfaces end-to-end from design and architecture through shipped, working software.
  • Design and build AI agents, including agent architectures, prompt systems, tool-use patterns, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Make infrastructure decisions for deployment, observability, sandboxing, and scaling.
  • Bring product and design judgment by challenging weak specifications and proposing better solutions.
  • Mentor other engineers by setting technical standards and reviewing code rigorously.
  • Ship quickly across a distributed team spanning multiple time zones.
  • Work as a staff-level individual contributor reporting to the Head of Product and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with depth across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
  • Strong production experience with Python, Go, and React/Next.js.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, and tools like Cursor daily.
  • Ability to design APIs, data models, and distributed architectures that hold up under pressure.
  • Strong product sense and the ability to understand why something should be built, not just how.
  • Ability to identify UX issues, sketch improvements, and ship them independently.
  • Extreme ownership, speed, and comfort making decisions without waiting on others.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, setting standards, and improving team performance.
  • Preferred: past founder or early-stage engineer, ideally employee 1–15.
  • Preferred: experience building AI agents or agentic systems in production.
  • Preferred: legal or HR domain experience.
  • Preferred: integration experience with CLMs, HRIS, document management, or email systems.
