Description

  • Write the initial production code and set the company’s technical direction.
  • Harden Ava’s voice and workflow systems for production reliability, including architecture, observability, and audit trails.
  • Build the internal Role-as-a-Service delivery infrastructure for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing AI workers.
  • Manage trade-offs between AI quality and cost per call within the $499/month pricing model.
  • Represent BloomLex with lawyers, partners, and investors as the technical leader.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and expand the platform into additional AI staff roles.
  • Develop a path toward custom and self-hosted models where legal and privacy requirements require them.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and establish its engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Production experience shipping LLM-powered and voice systems where incorrect outputs had meaningful consequences.
  • Full-stack experience with applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong judgment in reliability engineering, edge-case management, and AI quality-versus-cost trade-offs.
  • Experience building managed, service-heavy platforms that scale delivery without proportionally increasing engineering headcount.
  • Ability to operate as a principal technical leader and challenge product readiness or scalability when necessary.
  • Prior founder or early-stage technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in legal tech, healthcare, or another trust-sensitive industry preferred.
  • Ability to self-host custom models for legal and privacy requirements preferred.
  • Commitment to a co-founder role with shared authority over product, technology, hiring, fundraising, and strategy.
  • Submission of a resume, LinkedIn profile, and brief statement explaining alignment with the venture.
