Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction for the company.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Ship the marketing review prototype into production with a design partner early adopter.
  • Deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, audit-ready logs and reporting, and expand the platform over time into regulatory filings and enterprise integrations.
  • Own the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model to deliver robust analysis.
  • Own the explainability layer that produces audit-ready evidence on demand and the reliability engineering that ensures consistent performance in the field.
  • Represent the company to customers, third parties, and investors as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Partner with the CEO on converting pilots into paying customers, fundraising, and major strategic decisions.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Establish the cultural foundation of the company.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems into production environments where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Direct production experience with explainability and reliability engineering.
  • Preference for systems that perform consistently in the field over systems that only demonstrate well in controlled settings.
  • Prepared to operate as a principal, setting the technical agenda and making decisive calls under uncertainty.
  • Prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring, is strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to apply with a resume, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on founder fit.
