Description

  • Develop and own the product vision and strategy for data collection, transformation, and ingestion as a core Grafana Cloud capability.
  • Partner with senior R&D leaders to align product and technical strategy across teams and make roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Use customer research, product analytics, competitive insight, and business context to identify the highest-impact problems to solve.
  • Define how AI should influence telemetry instrumentation, collection, transformation, cost control, data quality, querying, and troubleshooting.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and prospects, especially technical buyers and observability practitioners.
  • Help GTM teams understand differentiation, customer value, roadmap direction, AI relevance, and market positioning.
  • Coach and develop Product Managers through feedback, performance management, hiring, career development, and strategy coaching.
  • Create a high-accountability, high-trust environment for PMs and cross-functional teams.
  • Guide the evolution of the telemetry data path across metrics, logs, traces, profiles, and other signals.
  • Ensure the data path supports Grafana Labs’ full-stack observability strategy and hosted offerings.

Requirements

  • Significant Product Management experience leading product strategy across multiple teams, product areas, or complex technical workflows.
  • Experience directly managing Product Managers, including coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring, and career development.
  • Strong technical fluency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, data pipelines, high-scale databases, or related developer/infrastructure domains.
  • Strong product instincts around AI and the ability to identify customer value in technical products.
  • Strong customer empathy and strategic judgment with the ability to translate complex problems into roadmap priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills with experience influencing Engineering, Design, Technical Writing, Developer Advocacy, Analytics, Product Marketing, GTM, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to create clarity in ambiguity and operate effectively in a globally distributed, remote-first environment.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Grafana Mimir, Grafana Loki, Grafana Tempo, and/or Grafana Pyroscope is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL, telemetry pipelines, large-scale data processing, or data transformation workflows is a plus.
