Description

  • Write the first lines of production code and set the technical direction end to end.
  • Establish the core architecture, engineering culture, and security posture, including SOC 2 readiness, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Ship a marketing review prototype into production with a design partner, then deliver communications surveillance, trading oversight, and audit-ready logs and reporting.
  • Drive the roadmap from core modules to GA v1 within 9 months and expand into regulatory filings and enterprise integrations within 18 months.
  • Own the training and ongoing evolution of the core AI/LLM model.
  • Own the explainability layer that produces audit-ready evidence on demand and the reliability engineering that ensures consistent performance in the field.
  • Represent the company to customers, investors, and third parties as the technical voice of the venture.
  • Partner with the CEO on customer conversion, fundraising, product, technology, hiring, and strategy.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering and applied AI team.
  • Build the cultural foundation of the company.

Requirements

  • Shipped LLM-powered systems into production where incorrect outputs carried real consequences.
  • Full-stack experience with applied LLMs, RAG, retrieval, deterministic rules engines, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience with SOC 2, tenant isolation, encryption, and audit logging.
  • Strong convictions about explainability and reliability engineering based on direct production experience.
  • Ability to operate as a principal, set the technical agenda, make decisive calls under uncertainty, and own outcomes.
  • Prior founder, founding engineer, or early-stage technical leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Background in legal tech, RegTech, fintech compliance, healthcare, or another high-trust regulated vertical is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. wealth management ecosystem, including SEC and FINRA workflows, marketing review, communications surveillance, and trade monitoring is strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience self-hosting or privately deploying foundation models is strongly preferred.
  • Resume, LinkedIn profile, and a brief note on why the venture aligns with your goals as a founder are required for application.
