Description

  • Define technical specifications for new Salesforce Marketing Cloud features and services.
  • Re-engineer the Salesforce Marketing Cloud technical approach to drive optimization, reuse and alignment with the wider replatform roadmap.
  • Develop, deploy and optimize marketing solutions and campaigns to enhance customer interactions and business outcomes.
  • Maintain and improve the existing SFMC codebase, ensuring changes are scalable, tested, and follow engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product and CRM teams to ensure campaigns, channels and products integrate reliably across systems.
  • Ensure reliable integrations between SFMC and other Salesforce clouds or external systems (APIs, SFTP) as part of campaign delivery.
  • Mentor and review work from junior, graduate and trainee engineers, contributing to their technical growth.
  • Make technical decisions aligned with the technical roadmap and replatform work, and communicate those decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an implementation-facing environment delivering enterprise-level solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud data architecture and contact mappings.
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including complex queries and creation of sophisticated audiences.
  • Proficiency in AMPscript and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) for SFMC customization.
  • Experience integrating SFMC (Marketing Cloud Connect) with Sales Cloud/Service Cloud and external systems via API and SFTP.
  • Experience building personalised, responsive email templates and cloud pages using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of CRM concepts and web-based customer channels.
  • Knowledge of GDPR data governance and handling of personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Experience working with SFMC data views.
  • Role is UK remote-based (candidates should be able to work remotely from the UK).
