Description

  • Retrieve Customs Entry Summaries from vendor portals, organize PDFs, and redact proprietary information according to naming and file-management standards.
  • Cross-reference container and purchase order numbers with tracking reports and project managers to assign each shipment to the correct project, scope, and PO.
  • Record importer file numbers, entered values, duties, entry dates, countries of origin, shippers, HTSUS codes, rates, and line-item duties.
  • Allocate entered values and duties across multiple POs, scopes, and projects, including splitting tariffs on multi-project or multi-rate shipments.
  • Build PCO Excel and PDF files using templates, apply sales tax and OH&P, and verify billing eligibility before client charging.
  • Coordinate with project managers, sales, accounting, and shipping vendors to resolve complex shipping and costing issues.
  • Maintain the Master Tariff Log and support accurate tracking of duties and recovery amounts.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filtering, lookups, multi-column data management, and formulas.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, financial calculations, and file management.
  • Familiarity with PDF editing tools.
  • Ability to interpret customs and import documentation, including Entry Summaries, HTSUS codes, and duty rates.
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined file and folder management.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Background in construction, commercial products, or supply-chain cost management (strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of tariff and duty refund processes and evolving trade regulations (strongly preferred).
  • Experience allocating shared costs across multiple projects and cost centers (strongly preferred).
  • Comfort managing complex, multi-variable scenarios with high ownership and accountability.
