Description

  • Develop and maintain Python applications supporting Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing systems.
  • Build REST APIs and backend services and integrate internal and external systems through APIs and web services.
  • Create data-processing and automation solutions using Python and SQL.
  • Work with relational databases and optimize SQL queries.
  • Develop and maintain applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Support cloud deployments, CI/CD processes, unit testing, debugging, production operations, performance optimization, and secure development.
  • Maintain reliable applications aligned with insurance business requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on Python backend development experience, including REST APIs and backend services.
  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, data processing, and query optimization.
  • Experience integrating systems through APIs and web services.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with unit testing, debugging, production support, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • 7+ years of relevant software development experience preferred.
  • Insurance systems experience, particularly Policy, Claims, Underwriting, or Billing, preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must reside in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI, or Washington, DC.
