Description

  • Design, build, and run cloud-native microservices in Go for the real-time payments platform.
  • Build highly available, low-latency, and scalable systems that process billions of payment requests.
  • Own services end to end, from initial design and implementation through deployment and production support.
  • Work with a strong focus on cost efficiency, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with other engineers in a flat, autonomous team structure.
  • Contribute to code quality, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
  • Work in a highly automated DevOps environment using modern cloud and platform tooling.
  • Participate in a true DevOps model covering the full software lifecycle in production.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to collective technical decision-making.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
  • Experience with Go.
  • Familiarity with cloud and containerisation technologies.
  • Experience with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Interest in owning projects end to end and supporting them through production launch.
  • Appreciation of clean code and software engineering best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and share knowledge.
  • Comfort working on complex, high-performance, high-robustness software problems.
  • Experience with the right tool for the job mentality.
  • Preferred exposure to modern infrastructure and platform tools such as Kubernetes, CockroachDB, NATS JetStream, AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, Flux, Prometheus, Pact.io, and Tilt.
