Description

  • Support the Product Manager with the end-to-end build and delivery of the Canadian RTR payment gateway.
  • Analyse payment scheme, product, and business requirements and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Assess product changes and enhancements and document their delivery impact.
  • Use data and analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and wider business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Build expertise in the Canadian payments ecosystem and advise colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Own Business Analyst activities and deliverables from requirements through product delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in payments, banking, or FinTech.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem and infrastructure, ideally including Interac e-Transfer or other Canadian payment rails.
  • Experience translating complex business, product, or payment scheme requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, cloud technologies, and modern system architectures.
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience supporting products through delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to support decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the US payments landscape, particularly FedNow or RTP, preferred.
  • Experience with real-time or instant payments and broader payment infrastructure preferred; previous RTR experience is not required.
