Description

  • Act as the primary point of contact between patients and their care team.
  • Receive, triage, and resolve incoming clinical messages from patients and clinicians.
  • Conduct outgoing patient communications to support engagement and program success.
  • Provide administrative support to clinicians, including pre-visit lab orders and documentation.
  • Collect, request, review, and organize patient medical records from outside providers.
  • Facilitate lab requisitions, prescription workflows, prior authorization coordination, medication refills, and pharmacy questions.
  • Guide new patients through the program and answer general questions about memberships and care.
  • Support patient scheduling, appointment coordination, account changes, and cancellation requests.
  • Assist with insurance, billing, coverage, and eligibility questions.
  • Share patient feedback and operational insights with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and billing teams to improve tools and care processes.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant (MA) certificate is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced primary care, obesity medicine, or endocrinology practice.
  • Experience with prescription prior authorization processes is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and time effectively.
  • Proficiency with computer tools such as Slack and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to evolving, custom-built IT systems.
  • Experience in a collaborative healthcare team environment in a non-traditional telemedicine practice is preferred.
