Description

  • Assist managers with merchandise licensing audits for consumer products companies, Fortune 500 companies, and other intellectual property rights holders.
  • Help plan audit steps and budget for anticipated audit engagements.
  • Liaise with client and auditee representatives to request and review supporting documents.
  • Prepare written reports of findings, including calculations, claims, and procedures performed.
  • Stay current on developments affecting participations, including new exploitation platforms, international distribution, and guild agreements.
  • Organize and manipulate large electronic datasets.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation.
  • Draft summaries of contracts.
  • Collect and summarize data from clients and auditees.
  • Conduct analysis to create claim schedules.
  • Perform fieldwork at auditee offices.
  • Conduct internet research and support other assigned projects and duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Accounting, Finance, Business, or Mathematics is preferred.
  • More than 2 years of experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Royalty software experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
  • Experience with Power Pivot and Power Query is a bonus.
  • Genuine interest in the merchandise licensing business and merchandise royalties.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience or education in merchandise licensing, particularly merchandise licensing royalties and royalty audits, is beneficial.

Benefits

  • Annualized base pay range of $75,000 to $90,000.
  • Remote-based work option from White Plains, NY or New York, NY.
  • Non-exempt, overtime-eligible position.
  • Annual bonus potential.
