Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform as the primary infrastructure-as-code tool.
  • Develop and own CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management across multiple client environments and subscriptions.
  • Implement and enforce security, governance, and compliance baselines across Azure environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost of Azure workloads.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for Azure, Terraform, and DevOps practices.
  • Coordinate workload prioritization across the team and help uphold engineering standards.
  • Conduct code and architecture reviews to support engineering quality.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and the Head of Cloud Operations on solution design, migrations, and customer onboarding.
  • Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours rota.

Requirements

  • Proven, in-depth experience engineering and operating Microsoft Azure environments in production.
  • Extensive Terraform experience, including modules, state management, workspaces, and remote backends.
  • Strong DevOps background with CI/CD pipeline design, Git-based workflows, and release automation.
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers and setting technical direction.
  • Solid scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking, Entra ID, security, and governance.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical root-cause approach.
  • Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate qualification (preferred).
  • Experience with containers and orchestration such as AKS, Docker, or Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Exposure to multi-tenant or MSP environments and client-facing delivery (preferred).
  • Familiarity with configuration management and policy-as-code tooling (preferred).
