Description

  • Lead a team of engineers building, developing, and operating the employee communication platform.
  • Own structured, chat-driven workflows within the platform.
  • Spend most of your time on hands-on backend engineering and the rest on technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams in a remote international environment.
  • Work across multiple backend technologies, including Go, PHP/Symfony, Kotlin, and Micronaut.
  • Design, deploy, and monitor services using Kubernetes, Helm, Grafana, Sentry, and Mixpanel.
  • Join customer calls with the product manager to understand customer problems and shape solutions.
  • Drive important technical decisions and build alignment across teams in the backend guild.
  • Develop software using modern engineering practices such as API-first design, code reviews, automated testing, and exploratory test environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience working on backend systems.
  • Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and operating event-based backend services.
  • Experience with data-heavy integrations with other systems is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience with Go for backend services.
  • Some experience with a JVM stack, preferably Kotlin or Spring.
  • Excellent communication skills for working directly with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Interest in developing your own skills and supporting the growth of your team.
  • Experience working in a SaaS startup environment is a plus.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ is a plus.
  • Experience with PHP / Symfony is a plus.
  • Fullstack development experience is a plus.
