Description

  • Define the platform vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap for document processing and search capabilities.
  • Partner with engineers and technical leads to define requirements, constraints, and success criteria for platform investments.
  • Translate customer and infrastructure needs into actionable specifications for OCR, chunking, indexing, embedding, and vector storage decisions.
  • Work with backend engineering, infrastructure teams, and data science to improve document management efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Own adoption and migration strategies for shared platform functionality across product teams.
  • Collaborate with peer product managers to ensure platform capabilities support both AI-powered and traditional product features.
  • Monitor and optimize performance, latency, cost-to-serve, and core engineering metrics.
  • Track AI platform outcomes such as extraction accuracy, ingestion throughput, indexing latency, and search precision/recall.
  • Build awareness of document platform capabilities across the organization.
  • Mentor associate and mid-level product managers in technical product management and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software product management experience in SaaS.
  • Proven experience owning technically complex products or platforms.
  • Relevant domain experience in document management systems, search and indexing infrastructure, RAG or LLM pipelines, or legal technology is strongly valued for candidates with fewer years of experience.
  • Strong technical fluency and knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Ability to discuss document processing pipelines, full-text search, vector search, and content extraction with engineers.
  • Experience shipping data-heavy or AI/ML-adjacent features responsibly and securely at scale.
  • Comfort working in a complex, multi-team environment.
  • Experience leading shared-service or platform products where adoption is driven by value and consensus.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in Agile/Lean delivery frameworks with an emphasis on experimentation and iteration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience in Legal Tech, Legal AI, or compliance-heavy industries.
  • Direct familiarity with scaled distributed document processing systems, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, OCR pipelines, vector databases, embedding strategies, generative AI context engineering, or hybrid search architectures.
