Description

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of the AI orchestration layer for agentic workflows.
  • Build durable, fault-tolerant workflows using Temporal activities and ReAct reasoning loops.
  • Deliver features from design and prototyping through implementation, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and Playwright end-to-end tests.
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering quality standards.
  • Maintain observability practices using structlog and monitor production health with New Relic APM.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on async Python, pydantic-ai, and clean agentic architecture.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, legal domain experts, and frontend engineers.
  • Participate in cross-team planning, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and platform standards discussions.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs and reliability impacts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
  • Expert-level Python experience, including Python 3.12+ and async/await.
  • Strong experience with FastAPI and Pydantic v2.
  • Production experience building complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with durable workflow orchestration such as Temporal or equivalent, message queues, or event-driven architectures.
  • Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical decisions to cross-functional and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring others.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact features end to end in fast-moving production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience/certifications/demonstrated expertise.
