Description

  • Analyze user requirements and design documents to create detailed, risk-based manual test plans and test cases.
  • Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across the Faro Health ecosystem.
  • Document defects with high precision and provide clear testing summaries to stakeholders.
  • Use SQL to analyze, manipulate, and validate test data and backend integrity.
  • Evaluate proposed software changes for impact on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and best-practice mentoring to QA engineers, including junior and contractor staff.
  • Coordinate closely with Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps to maintain communication and alignment.
  • Improve QA methodologies and help enforce approved development standards.
  • Monitor, triage, and track issues found during the SDLC and high-priority bugs reported by end users.
  • Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Experience transitioning products from early-stage builds to scaled production environments.
  • Proactive use of Generative AI and LLM tools to synthesize requirements, improve test coverage, and identify edge cases.
  • Extensive experience testing cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience testing modern multi-tenant SaaS platforms and distributed systems.
  • Expert-level SQL skills for deep data validation and backend integrity testing.
  • Strong understanding of black-box and white-box testing, including non-functional, performance, accessibility, and security testing principles.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented problem-solving ability with experience performing root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate technical issues and business impact.
  • Experience with quality and test management tools such as Jira or QASE.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with shift-left practices and supporting automation-integrated workflows.
